"What this world needs is a new kind of army - the army of the kind." - Cleveland Amory
The purpose of humankindness is to raise funds and collect materials to benefit people in need. Basically, I've had a compulsion to make jewelry since I was a teenager and people seem to like it. I want my art to be about more than just money, I want to use the beauty of what I create to promote greater understanding and peace in our world. In a word, more humankindness.
In 2009, I provided school and art supplies (pencils, erasers, crayons, pencil sharpeners, construction paper, glue, markers, notebooks and school uniforms) to 55 children (K-5) in Dhaderian, Punjab, India. I also sponsored the installation of additional lighting in two elementary school classrooms.
2010 will bring a new beneficiary to humankindness- TBD. Watch this space for more information!
